From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

If you have to ask you won’t be able to get it working.
This is so backwards. You know how people learn to do things? It is to ask things...
That’s what the landscape of sleep is like.
E: The just read the thread and at this moment half the responses are some variation of “yeah I tried a bunch of stuff and it doesn’t work” and the other half are “it works perfectly for my precise state definition on this particular piece of hardware”. My comment is 100% correct and useful information about the state of sleep in Linux at the moment.
Not everything is a fight. Consider reading people’s comments and posts in the voice of miss rachel or something.
