They would absolutely care if their audience flocked to AMD.

Graphics cards are still roughly ten percent of their revenue, that is not a lot, i'll give you that, but they are a stable income. When this AI demand inevitably dries up it would definitely still be in their interest to not have alienated the entire gaming community that made them in the first place and that Nvidia as of right now still dominate.

They won't be handing that to AMD. If for no other reason than to not give them the financial means to chase them down in the AI space as well.
