the issue is not whether it is normal. that's not even a therapist's concern. the issue is whether it's healthy. the perspective is skewed as well. a "normal" reaction to an extremely abnormal situation is by definition not normal. "normally" people aren't perpetually angry because they don't "normally" go through what you've been going through.

PTSD is a "normal" reaction to trauma. should people who suffer from devastating PTSD not seek help because it's a normal reaction? completely skewed way to look at it.

Yup. Also we only have op's perspective. So it may be as you said that they're having a normal reaction to an abnormal situation or they could be having an abnormal reaction (like explosive anger or constant anger) that they don't realize is very unhealthy for them bc their anger is understandable and justified and therefore op perceives it as normal and fine

Basically, life is complicated, we only have one perspective, and just bc something is understandable doesn't make it good or healthy
