I've heard that American football is called football because it is played in feet and yards. not sure if that;s true, I don;t know anything about the game.
Cajuns are the decedents of Acadians who migrated to the US after Canada burned their villages in the great expulsion.
Shhh... we don't talk about the atrocities... the fact that "Cajun" is just "Acadian" said with a very heavy accent is a happy accident.
