MODERATORS
150 years ago was 1870s, little bit after the French Revolution. The Mountain referred to Robespierre and his compatriots who sat at the top of the assembly. Hence the mountain, up high. As opposed to valley whe the the Girondists sat.
French revolution took a hell of a lot longer than that. I am also bad at math
