Wasn't Toyota the brand most hesitant to move to proper EVs from hybrids and also the third biggest anti-climate lobbyist in the world?

I'm pretty sure their definition of EV is more focused on PHEVs than BEVs, which is to say, gas powered vehicles

Okay yes, per article

continuing its EV rollout and leaning harder into hybrids.

In the paragraph about how this isn't a decision to spend more on EVs, it's a decision not to cut them

I always got the feeling Toyota really dislikes lithium batteries.
