What do I need to know about the Odyssey before watching the film? (sopuli.xyz)

I have virtually zero knowledge of The Odyssey as a Greek mythology, save for a few recognisable names like the Helen of Troy, the Trojan War etc. I do want to enjoy the movie to its fullest, and if learning about the plot material is essential to it, then so be it. Is there a good resource giving a summarized version of the plot enough to understand the film? If so, I would really appreciate it if you shared it here.

This is what you need to know. It is a written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Therefore:

The Dialogue will be shit
The characters will be shit
The sound effects will be shit and or jarring, or both.
The Music will be repetitive and also shit.
The story will be absurdly, needlessly confusing because Nolan’s story telling ability is shit.
It is highly likely that there will be an insignificant event or piece of dialogue early in the movie that the entire story hinges around.
The action will be very good.
The production values will be very good.

In short what do you need to know about Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey? Skip it.
