Mayor Zohran Mamdani charged Benjamin Nentayahu with genocide, said he is unwelcome in New York City, and called for his arrest. Two years ago, that would have been unimaginable. Going forward, it should be a litmus test.

Nah, there's a balance to Mamdani, too extreme and Trump will send Meal Team 6in after him and make some public example of him.

Mamdani is biding his time and building a base at the hopes of a newer, better, less-bought Democrat party by the next election. He can't do that from a blacksite in chains.

if we ever have another fair election,... if anyone considers what we had as fair.

After seeing the Russian Tails in the numbers for 2016, 2020, and 2024 favoring Trump. It's for sure feels like we haven't seen a fair election in over a decade and I currently question our elections and think they are illegitimate. And that's not even going into the known cheating that happened in Ohio that helped Bush get into office(or the Florida shenanigans from the same election for that matter).

So yeah, I think Trump cheated with Russia's(and/or Israel's) and Elon's help and is an illegitimate President. Though to be fair he was illegitimate after trying to spawn an insurrection, and should have been hanged for High Treason already.

We havent had a fair election in my entire life. Bush straight up stole the election from Gore, and even if theres none of that extreme blatant stealing, everything is rigged so hard in favor of republicans, from voting booth locations, to gerrymandering, to right wing thugs being intimidating, etc etc.

[-] ViceroTempus@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

Valid as fuck set of points. You're not wrong.

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah, except he's apparently alive and the 2008 and 2020 elections weren't included in his list.

You're going to need to elaborate, you've lost me with what exactly you're trying to get at with being so vague. Traditionally you use the subject's name, before switching to pronouns so the reader knows who the fuck you're talking about.

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

This is not hard to follow. You responded to someone, your comment appears below theirs. I responded to you, my comment appears below yours. Notice how this trend continues.

How is he "right" in saying there has "never" been a fair election in his lifetime but he's not including two of them? Has he died and come to life repeatedly?

[-] ViceroTempus@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

Just because Dems win, doesn't make them fair. Gerrymanding is a very unfair tactic, and Republicans have been disenfranchising voters since before I could vote. And if they cheated, in 2004, why the fuck would they not continue to cheat in every election afterwards? It's a valid logic path to follow, and to assume that every election is likely unfair and has only gotten more unfair since then.

2020 was won by Biden, but in no way was the election fair. Trump did everything in his power to interfere, and would have won if not for covid basically enforcing nationwide mail in ballots, which turns out to be pretty hard to cheat. Though we did find millions of ballots in ditches, and various other places that never got counted (Edit: In 2024). So yeah... Maybe you're just ignorant of all the data points?

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

Russia's disinformation attempts isn't voter fraud and we're really shooting ourselves in the foot by replicating their "stop the steal" nonsense.

[-] ViceroTempus@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah not the only thing I was referencing, but I do find it funny that you can't accuse a known fraudster, cheat, as well as someone who projects the shit he does on to others, doing it yet again. All because he said it first lol.

Like imagine how dumb, and naive you have to be to just go "OH! They accused everybody of cheating, and that's bad! So if I do it back I'm bad too! So I can't do that!" Even when there is evidence, and very valid character reasons to believe that cheating happened lol. Like just shutting your brain off, and stopping critical thinking all together over such a simple manipulation tactic.

Which on that note, here are couple sites that have that data, and keep track of that stuff. https://smartelections.us/ https://electiontruthalliance.org/

And if you believe Donald Trump won all swing states fairly(astronomical odds of that happening in any election, btw) then I have the deed to The Golden Gate Bridge, and I would love to sell it to you, DM me and we can start negotiating.
