That's a wild telling of what happened in 1948.
After the Brits left Mandatory Palestine it was basically an existential war for Israel. Israel declares independence and immediately gets invaded by Egypt, Iraq, Transjordan and Syria, supported by the Arab Liberation Army and corps of volunteers from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Yemen.
After the war Israel extended it's borders. Some say for security, some say as territorial conquest for more Jews to settle.
This is very much not as one-sided as you make it out to be.
It was a war against Israeli ethnic cleansing, which they started even before their declaration of independance.
The Nakba was, to my understanding, seperate from war and happened in order to clear space and displace Palestinian settlement so that there was effectively room for the Jewish population to now live there, and is a pretty well documented historical example of ethnic cleansing. It was what happened in order to establish the state of israel, and was initially carried out by Zionists and then by the IDF once the IDF was created, if I'm remembering correctly

I think the terms get mixed up sometimes. Israel calls it the war of independence. The displacement was part of "Plan Dalet". Nakba sometimes refers to the displacement and massacres specifically and sometimes to the whole war.
Don't get me wrong, war crimes were committed (if that was a thing back in '48 not sure). I just don't like the characterization that Israel is a terrorist state that terrorizes all its neighbors. This was not one-sided at all.
Indeed, there is a specific definition of genocide and afaict Hamas has met the definition for 20+ years; Isreal hadn't sunk to the full definition until Bibi finished eviscerating the courts and shoveling fundamentalist BS into the Knesset just a few years ago

I mean the city bombings were war crimes after today's standards. Idk when the Rome statute or Geneva convention were created. Was driving out all the Germans from now Poland a war crime? The death toll was around 400,000 for that.
I'm not a historian idk if that's just what people did back in the day. Today that would be a war crime.
I'm not going to argue anything you said cause it's factual, it wasn't one-sided. It is now. Israel has total victory over the Palestinians. A Palestinian state will never exist now, and Israel is still killing them. It's not a war anymore, It's a genocide.
