Yeah, the humidity also doesn't compare. The US is, as with most things especially lately, way worse.
None of this means the UK has it easy, don't misunderstand. It means the people stuck in the US are in a crazy land of stupid things which includes the weather. But at least there aren't Australian murder fauna I guess.

I think what folks from not humid places don't realize is how hot the shade is. Shade is always better than sun, obviously, but it sort of only takes the feeling of the sun against your skin. The air is still hot. I'd compare it to a sauna sort of. Like it's still stuffy.
The first time my wife went to somewhere that actually has dry heat she said it was amazing. She was actually cold in the shade. Not just cool. That concept is so foreign to me.
