I feel like this is reason to continue the events not call them off. Change the tone to somber or angry but stopping things plays into their hand of inciting fear. We go to pride to show people we aren't afraid, we're willing to be visible, and that if they threaten us they have to deal with an entire community. I've never considered it to just be a fun party and I've always assumed something dangerous might happen. I'd be out there twice as hard today

There will be no safety if they convince us to hide again. Pride exists because people fought, bled, were arrested, and sometimes died. In my opinion, people being unwilling to be in danger over what they believe in is being taken advantage of and we need to show them we will bite if cornered

Edit to add I know not everyone is in a position to do so and I don't want to discount that. Families, people at high risk, or whatnot, I'm not saying they should all be jumping in front of a van. Maybe issuing warnings over phones or even word of mouth it'll spread quickly, and let people on the ground decide if they're still willing to take part and in what ways
