Here is a fun fact: the US has a law which says they will use all means necessary to free a US service person if they are detained by the ICC.

And it's in the news again so I guess they are planning (more) war crimes 🤷‍♀️

Oh, sure. It would suffice to say the US isn't a signatory to the ICC. My comment was to highlight that the US is pointedly against the ICC and has been for decades.

The US isn't signatory to any of the enabling treaties of the ICC and generally doesn't recognize its authority.
