Damn, the amount of people here who don't understand where the phrase "keep em barefoot and pregnant" comes from...
Literally "if you keep them pregnant constantly, they will have no need for shoes because they will never leave the home."
There's a lot of people who are uncomfortable with examining their long-held beliefs and biases.
Like that women like this wanted to have that many babies and that husbands have a right to sex with their wives no matter what.
