Hard disagree he was a malicious, hateful schemer who betrayed his constituents and actively harmed communities he didnt like up until dementia made him a moron.
The first version of Project 2025 was done under Regan. He was a useful idiot just like Trump.
Man, I'm not exactly a Reagan fan (he would be one reason I would want hell to be a real thing), but I'm pretty sure he didn't think that getting magnets wet would destroy magnetism, a fundamental force of nature.

I just remember watching him as a kid and he never really struck me as a particularly intelligent man but I suppose that was all part of the scheme to get this charming actor everyman into office to pull of a bunch of evil bullshit, much like today except with a different much much much much less charming actor
Thats the thing, he was an actor. He performed the role of the noble politician.
But the real reagan was in his early career. He was president of SAG, which is a union, and then went union busting as a politician. He informed to the FBI and the house un american committee about his fellow actors as to who might be communist during the red scare. Theres so much more, but then this would be a wall of text.
The charming idiot of his late presidency was partly act, partly and increasingly the dementia.

No disagreement, but i don't think this image is trying to rehabilitate his image in any way. That quote is undisputably one of his most famous, much like how Nixon's most famous quote is "I am not a crook!". Both bad people.
I also don't think that quote in particular is what will end up being the one Trump will be most known for. He has said a lot of dumb shit and a lot of reprehensible shit over the years. Time will be the judge of what his lasting legacy will be, but as long as I'm around I'll be reminding everyone of what an awful piece of shit Trump has always been.
Reagan was an evil, slimy piece of shit that should have accidentally strangled himself in the womb, but he was smart enough to permanently set the country up to consume itself over the course of a few decades. Also whether you like him or not, it was a great quote. The only thing this meme is pointing out is that all the previous evil bastards could at least have a cool, lasting quote, while the current one can't even do that
Yes he was, and he was still miles better than Trump.
