I'd be glad to support them, but I unfortunately can't support any gaming company because I suck at anything more complicated than casual stuff. I wish it were different because a lot of these games sure look interesting.
GOG is probably your best option out of many....games were nowhere near as complicated in the 90s and early 2000s (in general) and they literally specialize in....Good Old Games.
Sure there are complicated older games too (and they still carry modern games) but you're going to have better luck with older games.
Here's a classic recommendation from GOG - Epic Pinball. Dead simple, great retro feel, fantastic music.
Well, pinball is my jam - still kinda casual, IMHO. I was thinking more of those that tell a story & have lots of gameplay mechanics - I'm too old, and never could get used to or comfortable with managing camera angles & all that kinda stuff that uses so many more controls than we had in my day. A joystick/pad & at most a few buttons is all I was used to until adulthood demanded that I had extremely little time for games anymore for a few decades.
I'd argue there's still plenty of recent-ish games with simple controls you might enjoy.
Like Paper's Please for instance. It does get complicated but not control-wise.
In general many puzzle games are very simple control-wise. https://enclose.horse/ is one of my favorite web puzzle games for instance.
Only way to get better at anything is to do more of it. One of the ways I got good at a lot of genres was playing games with cheats and trainers. It took away the threat of dying and let me just learn how to move around and work the controls as a kid. A lot of modern games don’t let you do this, but if you go back to the 2000s, almost all those games had cheats or trainers and are far simpler to play. And GoG is just the place for those old games.
