It's polygamy for one gender only.
sounds mormon to me lol. wait is that considered biblical even though they have their own fanfic?
More specific would be "historical polygamy from Biblical times." Like, "kings and stuff did it back then."
Anybody who thinks that means the Bible is for this need only look at the actual Biblical accounts of the many kings therein: Occasionally wise, fatally flawed, ultimately lonely and empty despite having the world of men in their hand.
It is not the role of man, to rule over other men (or women).
man I wish we could all just leave the abrahamic fanfic fights behind the species.
According to the Bible, King Solomon (the wise king) had 700 wives and 300 concubines.
His father, David (the one who killed Goliath), had 8 wives that are mentioned in the text.
So "Biblical marriage" could be monogamy (like Mary and Joseph) or a wide variety of polygamous options. Either way, the most important part is that women must be faithful to only one husband.
