Rules:
-
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
- Post news articles only
- Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
- Title must match the article headline
- Not United States Internal News
- Recent (Past 30 Days)
- Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
-
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
-
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.
-
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
-
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF OCTOBER 19 2025
-
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
-
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
-
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Why are you calling it global? Its core was in America and Israel. Jeffrey Epstein was likely a Mossad Agent. Most of the emails, files, photos mostly show important American and European figures, from entertainment to politics.
So far, these are some countries with powerful figures that appeared in the files:
For China, though. There are no CCP members or remarkable figures that have appeared in the files yet. If anything, you made me found a piece of lore that says Epstein tried to get a Chinese VISA to visit Beijing in 2012, but China rejected him because of his child sex abuse charges in 2008. Prince Andrew convinced Epstein to try again, but in the Paris' Chinese Embassy, and to avoid ticking the boxes that admitted criminal charges, to trick Chinese immigration. He probably failed again, because there were no logs of him ever visiting Beijing. He also had some closeness to Hong Kong's academic community in 2010, but those were students and teachers.
The fact is: Most of Asia is clean regarding the files. The Middle East, outside Israel and the UAE too. Eastern Europe too; you won't find powerful figures from Poland, Hungary, Romania, or the Baltic States. All 54 African nations are also clean... There are 195 countries in the world, not all of them were involved. I do understand the anger toward the elite class, and it is known Asia has its own issues with child abuse and sexual abuse, I'd not be surprised if they have their own version of Epstein or similar circles of powerful corrupted elite monsters doing these things. But I won't make those claims with confidence yet until there is more evidence, they are just probabilities that help increase attention. Human Nature is what is global, and I think people should be taught Psychology much harder in school to learn how to control it, how to spot psychopaths, how to spot pedophiles, how to handle these things without resorting to violence, or before it causes harm to innocent people. But that's just my fantasy, it won't happen. It's too late anyway, these elites are beyond redemption and need to be jailed permanently.
Epstein was an American financier that mostly targeted Wall Street, Hollywood, Ivy League academia, British royalty, and the Washington D.C. political class over anything else. He did try to connect with Asia to use it as an escape plan once Western society closed on him, but he failed.
Not all of these are proven pedophiles either, some were mentioned or at some point touched the circle, like attending similar high-society dinners and events. Don't get me wrong, I'd vote for a complete overhaul anyway. I rather be safe than sorry. These people are good at hiding evidence, so, I'd rather remove them all from power and start over with new faces.
I am not discarding the possibility that this is truly global and we're missing more info that hasn't been released yet. But, you cannot just make me pull the trigger blindly. I won't do that. If a billionaire is NOT a pedophile, I will NOT call him a pedophile, but I will still eat it, because being a billionaire or excessively rich is a crime against humanity.
See, this jump you made, to instantly assume CCP members were involved, when there is no real evidence of that yet, is what I mean with these types of posts and Anti-China messaging. This is why I am skeptical of your claim that China is doing a genocide. How do I know if you're not rushing it the same way you rushed this?
You're making big leaps now on ad hominem, that I'd be rushing. Also you refer only to the files, as if (unconsciously?) shifting the goalposts.
Nothing is saying Epstein is the only node of the network. Nothing is saying that's the only network. Especially when countries act, have acted and keep on acting towards the shared agenda of these groups clearly "above" nations. China keeps a tighter lid for sure, but it has leaked in the past and it seems to differ when an ultra wealthy gets caught and skips the consequences or when one becomes an example. Just like everywhere else.
