Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

The LTS I assume? That's annoying, my VPS has been on 24.04 and I'm looking forward to upgrading to 26.04 just for the newer PHP version (without using a 3rd party PPA). I'm waiting for 26.04.01 before making the move.
Yeah, we're also still on 24.04. And from what I've seen, 26.04 will ship with Plasma 6.6, not 6.7.
Maybe the
kubuntu-backportsrepository can give it earlier than that, but yeah, I don't even know yet, when we'll upgrade to 26.04.Good point, though, about the .01 release. Maybe I'll start bothering IT when that's out.
