It's trying to say it's impossible to complain about two things at once. I can be mad about a no bid contract to an unqualified pool man AND genocide in Palestine.

There is in fact a recognized political propaganda technique called "Flood The Zone".

Looking at Top Today, for the last two days I've seen far more posts about the "pool affair" than any other subject, including way more impactful subjects such as the Iran War, and various of those highly upvoted posts are pretty infantile pisstakes.

It stinks of Flood The Zone. Even if it's not, a lot of that shit is infantile tribalist point-"scoring" with the same level of maturity as when the far-right press was complaining about Obama wearing a tan suit.

The problem is not somebody pointing it out, the problem is that what is a comparativelly miniscule fuck up by the Trump administration (you know, the kid fuckers who are crashing the US Economy and fucking everybody else because they tough that going to War with Iran was a guaranteed win) has been turned into a circus and pretty much "the only show in town" - as I said, it stinks of Flood The Zone.

Oh. I thought it was obvious to everyone that Democrats don't actually give a fuck about leftist issues so this went right over my head. Thanks for the explanation!
