Even the most jaded neoliberal should be able to be honest enough with themselves to understand that the Democratic Party is a hodgepodge party of leftists and liberals.
It's a hodgepodge party of liberals, which leftists sometimes feel pressured to side with because the only other viable party is marginally worse.
