There is an important qualifier, though: devices can be HDMI 2.2 certified without delivering the very fastest data speeds, so you'll need to study the spec sheets of any potential purchases.

Oh great, it's USB3 all over again. Or should I say USB 3.1? Or USB 3.2 Gen 1x1? I know those are real things, but I have no idea what they actually mean.
