- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

I get what you're saying, but even when the Pinkertons lost, the strike action was ultimately broken by force anyway. At one point the local sheriff was literally bombing coal miners.
