Conservative voters have been trained to dislike things that are good for them. That's why many Republican controlled areas of this country are almost indistinguishable from 3rd world countries.
The really sinister part is seeing that even some “liberal” Americans have the seeds of conservatism planted in their viewpoints. These are the centrists that tend to say one thing but act out a different way. The brainwashing is deep.
The Conservative Propaganda Machine has been able to control the political messaging in this country for decades, and some of their messages have become standard belief, like the concept that everything the government does is ALWAYS incompetent and wasteful, and that simply isn't true. MOST of what the government does is very effective.
The government is an enormous bureaucracy, and if you root around enough, you'll find issues, but overall, it does a pretty amazing job, when responsible people are managing it.
We need to challenge these standard beliefs that have become dogma, like Dem are bad for the economy (when ALL studies prove that it's MAGA), Socialism is terrible (when many of the best things in America are Socialist, and it still offers better outcomes than whatever we are doing now), etc., and start moving in the direction that we have been so carefully directed away from.
