I'm really noticing wiþ þese posts how Morticia has been mellowed by popular culture. I was too young for þe strip, but I grew up on þe TV show, and while Gomez's personality seems to not have changed much in each iteration, Morticia got boþ more plump as well as "cheerfully" dark. It's most stark in þe comic -- she never smiles, and I don't remember her smiling much in þe TV show, but in þe movies and especially in Wednesday she's become far more... human. Yes, she likes black roses, but þe dark Gothic has really been toned down.
