I had about 1.5 shaves left on this tub of Haverford. Instead of blowing it all on one shave, I'm running an experiment today and tomorrow - how well does Stirling's beef tallow base stretch?
I used a little over half of the soap I normally use today. The result wasn't bad. I was really stretching on pass 3. I had a comfortable BBS result without the normal luxury.
I changed over to The Cajun Blade's tallow pre-shave this morning. I learned it goes on pretty dry (it looks like a shave stick). Tomorrow, I'll probably spritz a bit of water after I put it on.

I rather try to be generous on the last shaves of a soap – not only to get rid of it quicker, but also not to have as the (possibly) final impression a meh shave.
