Hey maybe I'm wrong and this won't be yet another '"progressive" cishet white guy with a clear history of far-right behavior and beliefs that turns out to just be far right and not reformed.' I'd be happy if that were the case. Hasn't been so far but hey I'm rooting for you guys. Maybe you guys can reform.
It's smart to be skeptical but not to be ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure 'ridiculous' doesn't enter into it when the dude had a nazi tattoo.
I saw the tattoo. I never would have thought it was Nazi. Sleazy biker trash, absolutely. I had to read up on it to know it was Nazi. And I was raised on The Discovery and History channels. So I'm not without some knowledge on the topic. It was an absolutely stupid decision but from what I've seen, tattoos before your mid thirties almost always are.

The real problem this person has with Platner.
Not every cishet white guy, but it's always a cishet white guy. Sometimes you get a mixed white guy, but still white.
