Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

You're right about the popular vote. I keep forgetting that because it's not been the case previously and for so many other Republican presidents. You say I'm conflating these concepts but imo they are all intermingled by default, especially in the case of who owns trump. I wish I knew what to do. I tried joining a local action group but I don't really see it being valuable and I don't agree with all of their approaches even if I thought they could get shit done.
There is a feeling of hopelessness right now and who can blame us? Even if we manage to convince Democrats to move further to the left, and it works, we still have SUCH an uphill battle to fight moving forward. Fascist ideology is popular, obviously. And no I'm far from advocating for doing nothing. I just don't know what I can realistically do in the short or long term.
I totally empathize with the hopeless feeling. People are feeling it all over the world.
It breaks my heart to see Americans bailing. Denouncing thier citizenship.
There are like 2 billion people who WISH they could be an American ONLY FOR VOTING DAY just to wait through thr wind and rain and ICE beatings and shootings and whatever, just to help restore some degree of sanity to the world.
But we can't. And Americans are joking (or actually) running away to Canada. Americans get all pouty and then don't even show up to vote. Like, even if sometimes you feel like there is nothing you can do, think of the billions on the planet affected by this man who have even fewer options than you do.
Show up, vote, get your friends to vote, don't let them skip voting. Tell lazy stupid people who are abstaining from voting that they're being lazy and stupid.
This guy is fucking up the planet by like every measure, but most people on the planet can do absolutely literally zero about it. You can do at least a little!! Just make sure you DO it! We are all literally counting on you. The jabs are just to keep you awake. Keep you from getting complacent.
I mean I agree with everything you wrote. I would never not vote and I strongly condemn not voting. I'm still trying to figure out what else I can actually do. Besides protesting, which I've also done and then bunches of lemmings shit on those too.
