MODERATORS
In the first episodes L tested if Light had to be there in person to kill with the broadcast of Lind L Taylor, but I think he never mentioned a supernatural cause. Later Light made criminals write letters with the hidden message "L do you know Shinigami love apples", probably starting the suspicions in the supernatural direction
