Was just wondering how do ant wars end? Just from a practical standpoint doesn't seem like they would genocide the entire other ant hill. Do they have a truce pheromone

Some ants are carnivore and will eat them, some ants raise them and ley they work in the colony, some ants don't take the eggs...
Ants are extremely diverse.
