I work as an independent contractor. But I don't relish in extreme opulence, frivolous designer brand products, while espousing to speak about socialism for the common man. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Yes, we all participate in capitalism. No one compelled Hassan to buy a Porsche, or designer brand clothes. There's the necessity of participating in capitalism... Then there's Hassan and extreme opulence and decadence. The fact that you can't understand this distinction is all I need to know about Hassan followers
As someone who makes less than 20k a year, why do you care so much about someone else’s opulence? Follow up, if you don’t like him, Why do you comment about Hasan in general? Does it really matter that much?
I feel the same way about some of my favorite musicians, rappers especially, but at the end of the day it doesn’t do shit for me to pay mind to Trent Reznors paychecks. I like the media that he provides for me, I listen to it for free and that’s that.
Same with Hasan. It’s just entertainment. Getting your panties in such a twist over rich YouTubers being libbed up isn’t entertaining to me so I chose to listen to the media I like. Same goes for any lefty podcaster, deprogram, brace Belsen, empanada. They arent revolutionaries, they’re podcasters. Entertainment, media, and I treat them as such.
Unlike Trent Reznor, Hassan lives as an opposition force to whatever the establishment represents. He actively spreads cynicism and voter apathy, because he is the equivalent of Alex Jones. He drives his influence from farming anger; in order to sustain that he cant redirect his efforts towards effective actions because that would undermine his revenue stream. Trent Reznor is a genius that makes art. Hassan is part of the movement that is walking people into detention centers.
I agree on the second to last sentence , you have to see how insane the last sentence sounds. And by voter apathy, do you mean channeling voters away from the DNC?
Forgive me for asking so much, you’re saying he represents a danger for the left in the way that the ballot candidates he supports aren’t solid enough long term? Or too radical? Follow up: What are your thoughts on Mamdani? Surely a socialist winning against a dnc darling isn’t what you mean by one off candidates, right?
If you mean people like the PSL candidates (Cruz), may I ask what you think of groups like CPUSA and PSL ?
alright, that’s really all I needed. I disagree entirely with your framing of who Hasan is. I think if you actually listened to what he’s said you’d realize he is a very solid political analyst. He goes live for 8 hours a day, there’s no need to lie about “manufacturing rage”, everything he says is recorded. His reaction content is actually very formative against reactionary thoughts/rage manufacturing.
How can you go on the internet and use Rage bait like “he shocks his dog” and then claim Hasan is the one using rage value? I really do not ever see it. And I have my fair share of criticism of all these leftist yuppies. But Hasan “farming opposition” is laughable. Liberals still think voting for Kamala is the end of your leftist political responsibility. They truly believe leftists are the reason she lost. There are so many like you just willing to plug your ears and tune out, say you don’t care, and then have the audacity to come back every 4 years to scold leftists into accepting the status quo. It’s not gonna work much longer.

I don’t have the energy for this, friend. If you truly feel the last paragraph is true there is nothing I could do to convince you the opposite. We just both think the other is wrong on how much the guy knows so we’re gonna have to agree to disagree. I think his political analysis is extremely important for the left to have in 2026 and further
