I had one on me the other day and I'm not too far south of Canada. It's pretty early to start seeing them IMO.
I'm from Germany. We had to remove the first ticks from the children as early as beginning of March after spending some time in the woods. I think this summer will be crazy…
I hope not. We had an explosion of them last spring, but by summer there were none to be found, it was strange. I spent most days out in the woods, but didn't find a single one.
As soon as it's around 0c (even as low as -4c) in southern Canada, ticks emerge to feed.
