Solved! What is this cylinder I found buried in my backyard? (reddthat.com)

I know it’s some sort of gas bottle, but I’m hoping someone can be more specific based on the brass tap on top.

If you don't know whether it contains flammable gasses or not, remember you've got to get the flame really close to the nozzle or it might not ignite and you'll never know for sure.

It has rusted enough that there are holes in it. Seriously doubt it contains anything other than water
