First thought - wait, he's still making Far Side comics?
Then remembering this has always been a thing.
I just assumed someone used AI to make a Far Side-like comic. I actually continued to believe that even after noticing the date since AI has completely eroded my trust in everything but I am happy to confirm that it is real
Far side has returned too though.
Somehow.
