Nvidia won't recover from this...AMD is going to sweep the market, which will mean games are built to be AMD first
It takes decades to recover from a misplay like this. They just handed over the market on a silver platter, the fuck you to gamers barely even matters
i have more hope of chinese manufacturers swooping in, and even then that's not gonna be easy or likely that soon
Ditto. Most of my GPUs were nVidia, except the last one, an AMD. But I'm fully aware @inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world is right; and also that the only reason they aren't shitting now on desktop customers is because they can't.
Plus the political landscape reached a point that, when reasonable to do so, I'm flat out refusing products from USA. Enough of this United-Statian mafia shit. If mainland China manufactures get something of comparable quality into the market I'll give it priority over AMD/nVidia/Intel. That's a matter for 10y from now, though.
You mean the same AMD that just announced a deal where they're devoting 20% of their CPU AND GPU production to Meta AI?
Yeah, they aren't going to be doing crap for gamers either.
