I wanted to buy a drills to make a hole in a wall, nothing special, but was interested if I could find anything made in EU and it was so hard!

Firstly I looked for polish (local to me) producer - there is none at the moment. So I tried Germany - traditionally industrialized, sure there must be a lot od options. Turns out it is really difficult to find information about production online - basically if it is not provided, itโ€™s produced in china. I even found some small family business from Germany with photos of it owners etc but had to find a photo of back of the item in peoplesโ€™ reviews to confirm - itโ€™s producing tools in China.

This is what I settled with - company that produces most of their tools in China but have special line of items produced in Germany with clear information on it. So I succeeded but it was pretty disappointing experience.

Brands love to brag they're European but sell you Chinese tools, most of the time they're not even their own designs.

It's annoying that they don't have to be more transparent about this.
