Very much so! Mine will run to greet me when I get home and flop on the ground for belly rubs. They actually like belly rubs despite what the infographic says. They'll climb in to bed with me to cuddle and purr or stand on me and make biscuits (kneading with their paws). Sometimes they'll be sleeping, and I'll wake them up to pet them and cuddle, and they'll vocalize and have body language to show they are happy.

However, they are both terrified of strangers, so it would take multiple days of you visiting before you'd see much of the goodbehavior.

Other cats are fine with strangers. There's an outdoor cat in my neighborhood that I'll sometimes pet. He'll flop about and arch his back while being pet to show he's having a good time.

Cat body language can be a little counterintuitive to read, but there can be very definite signs that they are happy.
