Why would bikes be taxed for roads. Roads do not break down under bikes. Our roads would literally last centuries if we didn't drive cars over them.
Because I have to pay for roads that never get fixed so you should suffer too. And my solution to fix these roads is by adding one more lane

Damn I didn’t know cyclists had the power to selectively pay taxes. Isn’t this the conservative dream? Why aren’t they joining the cyclists’ side?
I don't think you would find a single cyclist against the idea of taxing bicycles as long as it is a vehicle tax indexed to the weight of said vehicle (i.e., damage to the road). "Here's a $20, that should cover my bicycles for the rest of my life. Keep the change!"
