To make it clear to those who are misunderstanding: that's a list of companies that host matrix for you. They do it at a good price.

If you and your friends chip, it'll be a few bucks a pop per month to have your own private server with voice chat rooms and video chat rooms.

It's all opensource and contributes to the ecosystem. Best of all, no age verification because the data is yours.

Never had the need, since I don't play much online. I used ICQ, IRC a little years ago, but never went far.

I read an article that seemed reasonable and well written, and detailed the reasons for not suggesting the use of Matrix, you know, like the many other things you can't try directly in life. Now I'm sorry I offended your favourite team, but every further message of yours in this conversation isn't going to make me wanna try Matrix any more, so you can stop.
