Just keep dropping this link on the hexbears whenever you can:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Tiananmen_Square_protests_and_massacre

They're either clueless teenagers that only know the things they've learned from TikTok or working for whatever the Chinese equivalent of glavset is. Either way, they tend to make themselves scarce when that link is dropped on them.

Doesn't look like posting that link did anything

[-] brain_in_a_box@hexbear.net 56 points 2 years ago

Why would we make ourselves scarce when some one drops a link to the wikipedia article on Tiananmen Square?

[-] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 53 points 2 years ago

Imagine thinking the most Redditor-ass reply of linking to Wikipedia of all places on a topic they are already familiar with is useful. Do you believe the Reddit myth about wumaos being shot whenever they see the phrase "Tiananmen Square Massacre" is true?

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 20 points 2 years ago

Oh no my kill-switch has been activated! Tell my family in the re-education camps I love them! /cyberpunk brain asplode noises

[-] jack@hexbear.net 50 points 2 years ago

Can I get a :debate-pervert: from a lemmygrad comrade?

[-] panopticon@hexbear.net 48 points 2 years ago

Damn you owned us we've never seen that article before you posted it lmao che-laugh

[-] lckdscl@whiskers.bim.boats 48 points 2 years ago

Do they make themselves scarce? You haven't done your research then: https://hexbear.net/post/301934 (technically OP on Lemmygrad but it counters your premise still)

[-] Zrc@hexbear.net 44 points 2 years ago
[-] SnAgCu@hexbear.net 41 points 2 years ago

Here, I'll post an article as well, hopefully nobody "makes themselves scarce" because of it: https://redsails.org/another-view-of-tiananmen/

[-] Zuzak@hexbear.net 40 points 2 years ago

Either way, they tend to make themselves scarce when that link is dropped on them.

This is either a bit or a masochist lol, just straight up inviting the dogpile.

[-] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah I get like 50 responses to my comments everyday... been reported as a bot multiple times. Given their tactics, my suspicion is the hexbear is a 50 cent army hive, but haven't confirmed this yet. Could be just kids that spent too much time on TikTok that don't know how terrible the PRC is. Or a mix of both. But likely just 50 cent army.

But meh, if it's wasting more of their time than mine, we're winning.

[-] Zuzak@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago

But likely just 50 cent army.

Sorry, but I'm actually not allowed to get paid for my China posts because of a noncompete clause I signed from when George Soros hired me as a crisis actor. I'm not allowed to be a paid actor in any other conspiracy theories right now, so I'm just defending China pro-bono to keep my posting skills sharp so I can try to get on as a wumao once my contract is up.

[-] sharedburdens@hexbear.net 27 points 2 years ago

I fucking wish Xi was paying me, marg bar amerika

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 27 points 2 years ago

Sir please keep the good name of Mr. Cent out of your Liberal mouth. .50 Cent got shot 9 times and recovered to be both a great rapper and the protagonist of a really bad X-box shooter. You accomplishments pale in comparison with his career.

I hope you're having as much fun as we are!

The internet has turned your brain to soup.

[-] booty@hexbear.net 37 points 2 years ago

this is one of the dumbest posts of all time. it should be in a museum

[-] Mindfury@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago

oh no, that link appears to have broken my internet!

now my web browser can only take me to this page: https://newint.org/features/2021/12/07/feature-how-british-colonizers-caused-bengal-famine

[-] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 years ago

Sure more past grievances from fascist hexbear. Yeah yeah the British were horrible colonizers. I can say that where I live.

But how about we discuss how you feel about the Tiananmen Square massacre. But of course you can't because you're afraid of the repercussions of discussing it even today, don't you?

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago

You know they teach about it in China, right? You're so far up your own ass you're just telling stories about stories you've been told and none of them have anything to do with reality.

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago

I feel sort of a warm, minty sensation. I really appreciate the students willingness to boldly confront the Deng government to voice their opposition to the imposition of liberal market economics, and I'm sympathetic to their position that social conservativism and a very restrictive public culture was not in line with communist practice. It also demonstrates the delicate balance of power between the party and the people.

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago

Tiananmen Square? That was thirty years ago, why are you bringing up past greivances like a fascist? Kind of sus to me dude

[-] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 years ago

The chilling effects of that massacre exist in China to this day. It's something that's blocked by their nationwide firewall and people refuse to discuss it out of fear of having some trouble with the authorities.

[-] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago

I do love how you keep playing to Tiananmen Square card like it's all 5 pieces of Exodia against Hexbears (supposedly) and it repeatedly has no effect.

The times in your past where it's worked, it may have been with teenagers that support China to be edgy.

We're educated who understand China's faults and side with China over US/UK/Can anyway. But you simply can't comprehend people that think China's positives outweight it's negatives without them being paid 50 cents a post.

[-] WoofWoof91@hexbear.net 34 points 2 years ago

Either way, they tend to make themselves scarce when that link is dropped on them.

looks down-thread

dont-laugh

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago

Oh no... they deployed... The Link!

The religious faith and certainty Liberals have in the significance of the Jun 4th incident is utterly bizarre.

"Here, take this pitcher of kool-aid. The bees tend to make themselves scarce if you pour it all over yourself"

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago

Why? We all know that about 300 people, mostly pla soldiers and insurgents, were killed in fighting blocks away from the square, while all the students in the square evacuated peacefully after the pla issued a final ultimatum.

[-] wtypstanaccount04@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago

You really think none of us have read that article huh?
