I thought anarchists didn't support putting people in cages? At least, that's what @PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S@lemmy.sdf.org seems to think based on an earlier comment
we don't support that. but for a white supremacist dictator that is gleefully ordering his gestapo to murder people in the streets, I think I can be persuaded to make an exception.
I mean, I would be just as happy to see him put against the wall. that would be both self-defense and solidarity with our immigrant and trans folk. some people make the world a better place only by leaving it.
The disapproval of the carceral punishment is not the same as being tolerant of the intolerant. There are other methods of preventing these monsters from doing what they do that don't include utilizing oppressive systems of "justice".
Strictly speaking, no I really don't support putting anyone in a cage forever, even monsters like Trump. However:
I am a human and I reserve the right to feel things that don't line up with my worldview. I.e., I would absolutely feel schadenfreude at the sight of this monster behind bars.
Trump actually is one of the exceptionally rare cases of humans who have demonstrated themselves to be so dangerously antisocial that he likely needs to be isolated from the rest of society for the safety of everyone else. Typically the first place people look for examples like these are serial killers and rapists, but in my view, the bourgeoisie are an even better example, and as we are learning with the Epstein files and as the history of colonialism will indicate...the bourgeoisie are serial killers and rapists, but they're just smart enough to be able to maintain an aboveground presence.
So again, he should be treated with basic dignity like everyone else, but not even because he deserves it, but because we don't deserve a system where we could end up in a cage and where we would have to live with the consequences of caging people.
I'm against execution as a punishment, but I'm not against self-defense, including collective self-defense as a class. Concretely, I'm not against giving capitalists the wall during revolution when their very mode of existence is currently killing us. I.e., if revolution wins, I don't expect Trump to survive or surrender willingly. So this meme is really kinda toothless iny view.
Also, I'm not the One True Representative Of All Anarchists Forever, so I expect (and welcome!) people to disagree with me on the details of some of these issues.

I'm not an anarchist so I'd have no problem putting the bastard in a cage

I came to make this exact post, but after BroBot9000’s comment removal, and banishment, I am out.
I just wished I could finance another piefed instance.
CX, fuck fuck fuck fuck, I just noticed the file attachment is on a fash company!

well I for one would much rather prefer just sticking him up against the wall.
