I'd put them into a boilerplate game where there is just a green floor and blue sky and 1 skeleton that doesn't do anything but you can hit it.
given how simple the simulation is you can make it run faster, one hour of your time is a month for them. let's see how they handle years of isolation
I bet you can run a simulation way faster than a meat computer. Like millions of times faster.
that really depends on the hardware, currently? I doubt it,
Hardware in 2050 of course!
The whole Moore limit seems to be tapering out though. and with everything getting enshitified assuming that future hardware would be orders of magnitude more powerful than what we have now is no longer a given.
If APM comes around we'll have computronium, which obviously slams moores law quite spectacularly.
