I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the YouTube channel.

In Slavic mythology, Perun (Cyrillic: Перýн) is the highest god of the pantheon and the god of sky, thunder, lightning, storms, rain, law, war, fertility and oak trees.

Thanks for the information, even as I was making the comment it did not seem likely to be true.

Now I am wondering if I had it backwards and the YouTube channel is named after the Slavic god.
