I thought the Disney deal was unquestionably a good thing at the time, too - it looks like it went as badly as it possibly could have, though.
As for RTD...I honestly thought he delivered two typical RTD seasons. A few absolutely terrific episodes, a bunch of silly camp, and unbelievably messy finales. Not too different from his original run, IMO.
Yeah that's true, I think when we look back at his first era we do filter out some of the nonsense and remember the highlights. I'm mostly just miffed about Space Babies TBH lol.
RTD lost me when he had the Doctor get a radiation dose and then danced around and moved it into his shoe.
Gone are the days when the Doctor solved problems with his mind. Now he just magics them away with his wand.
Rumors are he and Bad Wolf are out after the holiday special.
