With the NYC mayoral race coming to a close, Andrew Cuomo is courting right-wing creators.

One of the reasons MAGA Republicans hate the Democrats is because they see them as craven, politically opportunistic sell-outs. All Cuomo is doing here, is giving them a living example of that stereotype.

LOL, that would mean they don't take a look at their own party which is openly calling for the end of democracy, aligning themselves with people like Thiel and Curtis Yarvin and Musk, doing endless self-dealing, and selling America off for parts while most Americans are ground underfoot. Not sure how the Democrats could possibly top them on being craven, opportunistic sell-outs, honestly.

Cuomo is running as an independent for a reason, I think. As bad and as infuriating as the Democrats can sometimes be....they don't want Cuomo in their party.

That's just it...they don't see that. At all. None of the media they consume frames it like that.

They are told, day in and day out, that everything Trump and his allies are doing is justified, because Democrats have ruined the system. They are told, that all these extreme measures that Trump is "forced" to use, are the only way to correct the course that Democrats have set for the country. They are told that Republicans have been trying to stop them all along, and now have to tear the whole thing down, just to cleanse the rot.

It's all bullshit...but it is what they are being told. They're being told this on the news. They're being told this in church. They're being told this in the job. And they're being told this in the street. They are surrounded by an alternative version of reality, that paints Democrats as an inherently evil organization consisting of people just like Cuomo.

I would say it is true and polls reflect it. Democrats have spent the past 2 decades promising one thing and then giving up after the first hurdle. They gave up trying to reach anyone outside of major cities, and regularly sell out their base in the interest of "gaining moderates". They have lost their credibility with pretty much everyone but yuppies. That's why a self proclaimed socialist like Sanders polls so well in places that are 75% Pro Trump.
