Oh good grief. 'Vermont state senator Samuel Douglass announced his resignation on October 17, 2025, stating, "Offense was taken and people were hurt, so I will mend bridges to the best of my ability"...'

So many weasel words - not "I gave offence", not "I hurt people". What an absolute arse.
