I don't understand what happens if the courts side with Arizona. It seems that Mike can ignore the court wishes and not swear her in. Was is the path of escalation if he continues to ignore it?
That's the fun part about turning a democracy into a fascist regime, nothing happens. Systemic checks and balances are just busywork for the weak.
Contempt of court for failing to abide by the ruling. But of course that can be put off as it goes through appeals for a while.
This one is about the release of the Epstein files and Congress. Multiple Republicans in Congress are in support of releasing the files and Trump doesn't have the power to ignore or lose their votes yet.
If law is shown to not matter anymore, one could get "funny" ideas...
Oh, it still does matter, just not to everyone.
I wouldn't mind seeing a chalk outline that is shaped like a Johnson.
I was on a town hall call with my senator and we told him we're cool with the shutdown, and that we should withhold federal taxes. He was on board for both.
Johnson will be receiving the strongest worded letter Schumer can muster including heavily bolded fonts, so you know it means business.
Tantrums?
That'll show 'em!
It sounds like someone else might be able to swear her in then. I think…?
