"If Kamala were president we'd be at brunch"

Welcome to Progressive Politics! A place for news updates and political discussion from a left perspective. Conservatives and centrists are welcome just try and keep it civil :)
(Sidebar still a work in progress post recommendations if you have them such as reading lists)
Sorry, I have to rant here: Is US American left stupid? Your civil rights are being demolished, your friends, colleagues, comrades are being detained and deported, social services are being dismantled and your fragile democracy is being replaced by dictatorship - but your take is that under Harris Palestinians would have been killed as well. Same difference? You can not tell me with a straight face that the fate of Palestinians would be the same under Trump and Harris.
On the other hand this might just be a coping mechanism: you could have prevented Trump but now have to live with your decision and the reality that he didn't stop the wars he promised...
You misread the take. It's a jab at centrist complacency, at the people who would be perfectly happy to sit and let the shit happen so long as the veneer of democracy is still intact. It's not saying "under Kamala it would be just as bad", it is saying "these people would be out to brunch and not give a shit about problems if the "lesser evil" was in power".
You're right, we can't. Because even though it's true, BlueMAGA liberals will not acknowledge reality if it goes against the party
