But guys, this is what we voted for. There are articles that are coming out now where these podcasters are saying, this isn't what I voted for. I'm sorry. What did you think mass deportations was? This was something that was spoken about every single day. Everybody was in favor of, you know, basically securing our border and cleaning out our country. That's just a very matter of fact way to say it, but we were in favor of this. This was something that Trump talked about on a day to day basis. This is what we voted for.

For added clarity/context, ASPD is roughly the more modern designation for sociopath, a person who is seemingly literally physically incapable of genuine mirror empathy, views all social interactions as a game, everything to them is basically acting, their sense of morality is wholly centered on and only really in reference to themself, Patrick Bateman's mask over almost perfectly nothing.

They are almost always also malignant narcissists.

For another high profile example, see Thor/PirateSoftware.

America is what happens when you let the bullies win, when society is run by sociopaths, and a huge chunk of the population worships them as celebrities or thought leaders or divenely ordained agents of God... and also tries to emulate them, learn from them.

Fediverse vs Disinformation

Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.

Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.

What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.

By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.
