Prune can be nice (apricot too), but at least in the Polish neighborhood where I live, potato, cabbage, and onion are far more common fillings. Followed by sweetened soft cheese.
Yeah, pierogi with potato (pierogi ruskie) are very common and quite tasty
I also like pierogi with cheese and with fruit, but I can't stand pierogi with meat
I dunno, potato-bacon-kraut pierogi are pretty great.
