Polish Halloween
(media.piefed.world)
In this /c/, we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!
All year round!
Then why is it in plural? Checkmate.
What's the singular? Is it pierogus?
Please say it's pierogus!
It's pieróg, Polish tends to use a -y or -i ending to form the plural
TIL pierogi fall into the same grammar conundrum as Seadas
That's way less funny than my shenanigans, but I appreciate the info!
pierogus does actually have a meaning in polish, it's pieróg and the -us suffix, making derogatory nouns
It would mean something kind of like "someone who eats too many pierogi" or "someone who eats pierogi (derogatory)"
Someone who eats too many pierogi? Looks like I've got a new nickname!
Pieróg
It's pierogus.
